After studying the site we began to conceptually design the elements the client wanted, including unique, glass bridge connections and beautiful views in the line of site. The goal of this project was to bring a little Texas to Telluride. Steel, wood and stone blend with a modern aesthetic, instilling the mountain home with Lone Star State warmth. This 7-acre mountain home was designed as a retreat for a generational family. Upon walking the site, the location of the main entrance was determined with ease given the 10,030-foot elevation and breathtaking views from every angle. Throughout, the team opted for open, multifunctional spaces that would accommodate large groups. We developed elements that would make one feel surrounded by luxury, but also included custom touches the client brought to the project. The project includes a game room, ski locker area, wine room, prep kitchen, outdoor kitchen, firepit, 2 interior bridges, 1 exterior bridge, and basement bunk room. The end result exceeded the clients’ vision and is one of the most unique legacy projects the Mabry Homes team has been a part of.
